Caldmere is a player-driven fantasy MMO in early access, operated by the Caldmere team (“Caldmere”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and game, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and store your password in hashed form through our authentication provider. We never see or store your plain-text password.

Character and gameplay data. The characters you create, their attributes and progress, your in-game position, and similar gameplay state are stored so your character is there when you return.

Technical data. Our hosting and database providers record standard technical logs — such as IP address, browser or client type, and timestamps — to operate and secure the service.

Messages you send us. If you email support, we keep that correspondence so we can help you.

We use the information above to run your account, save your characters, operate and secure the game and website, respond to your messages, and understand how the game is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

The website uses cookies and similar local storage only where needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not run advertising trackers.

We share data with the service providers that run Caldmere’s infrastructure — including our website host and our account and database provider — only as needed for them to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the game and its players.

Account and character data is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information and character data, except where we are required to retain records by law. Technical logs are kept for a limited time and then discarded.

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account entirely. Write to [email protected] and we will act on your request within a reasonable time.

Caldmere is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Accounts are protected by hashed passwords and row-level access rules in our database, so players can only reach their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with reasonable technical and organizational measures.

We may update this policy as the game grows. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, note it on this page.
